Archive Architect Cesare Leonardi
is a Cultural Association established with the aim of preserving, protecting and popularizing the work of the Modenese architect, making it accessible through the cataloging of materials in the archive and private library.
Beginning with the work of enhancing the archive, the Association is engaged in organizing exhibitions and seminars concerning architecture, city and landscape construction, design, photography and painting as the fundamental fields of the author’s activity.
The collaboration between Amigdala and Archivio Leonardi was born in 2017 thanks to the City of Modena’s co-management of the OvestLab space.
The joint planning on OvestLab led the two associations in 2017 to obtain support from Cariplo with Funder35 and then in 2019 support from Fondazione Unipolis with the Culturability call for proposals for the Scuola Archivio Leonardi project (link to our website page? Or to the school page?).
The connections are articulated around the themes of urban regeneration, the common interest in the development of the area of the West Modena Craftsman Village, and the themes of craft culture and manual making.
