Peripheral 2012

The Peripheral festival for the fourth year offers an exploration of the city map through theater, dance, and music performances.
This edition of the festival, over a month and a half, traces an unusual trajectory through three spaces that hold memory and the future together.

We inhabited three fascinating places in dialogue with contemporary arts: a company of the highest technology which represents one of the examples of Modena’s most internationally advanced industry; the Depository Archives of the Municipality of Modena which has been collecting the city’s history for two centuries and holds 18 km of its documents; and the museum-workshop Officina Emilia, a place for regeneration of lost mechanical skills and at the same time a space for attention to innovation. Non-theatrical spaces that will be reinterpreted by artists with their specially constructed performances for the occasion, places that make themselves available to welcome audiences to come and discover them.
